Travel days can be a whirlwind of logistics – checking out, navigating to the airport, immigration, security, and repeatedly making sure I had my passport and phone.
Thankfully, Changi Airport (considered by many the best airport in the world) made it all a bit more enjoyable. Between the ultra-smooth MRT ride, the massive attached ten-story mall, and the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, I didn’t mind the wait. To top it off, I stumbled on fully reclined lounge chairs right by the gate – perfect for a quick siesta.
The short hour-and-a-half flight on Scoot Airlines had its quirks (cramped seats, crying baby, turbulence, and a crew that barely noticed us). But none of that mattered – I was just thrilled to be heading to Thailand.
I landed after dark, so the full view from my condo overlooking the Andaman Sea is still a mystery. Taking it easy tonight to start my Thailand adventure bright and early tomorrow!
